Good news on a good day! We just wrapped shooting Billabong's Billie Girls Fall 09 campaign and we're tacking on a studio test just for my book. Received some pretty amazing news today and can't wait to disclose. Soon... Very soon.
The dangers of modelling. I'm back at home and editing over 5000 images. I'm finding myself laughing out loud at some of the images. It's bringing back tons of fond moments that were shared by such an amazing group of people.
This was the first time that my husband has seen me work. I think he finally gets why I love it so much. At the end of shooting and the crazy journey to dinner we all retired and climbed into our beds. One of the most beautiful things was to have Julia and Bella climb into our bed as we looked at photos on my laptop. Dave got to see firsthand the love that I get from these children. They are so lovely to be around with such wonderful spirits.
I have to send out a salute to everyone. All of you were amazing and I'm already missing you.

Well.... What a trip it has been. Everyone arrived safe sound but not without drama. The Thorne's left LA about 6pm and heading north to meet us in Big Sur. They ran out of gas and also had a flat tire. Getting them into Big Sur at 3am. It was crazy!
We shot all day in the rain. The rain definitely added a bit of ambience to the scene, but the kids were freezing. I was shooting with a point and shoot along with my Canon Mark III. I switched between cameras throughout the entire day. We managed to get some amazing stuff. Then all of us were exhausted and decided to head out to dinner at Nepenthe.... As we're driving along Highway 1 trying to avoid the rock slides, the Fog and the Mountains Lions we get a flat tire. UGH! Stefan was amazing and got out in the rain and changed the tire... Keep in mind this was the 3rd tire he has changed in less than 24 hours. We had a wonderful dinner with many laughs.
We had 14 people staying with us at the house. The video is of all of us here is hilarious. I'll share that a little later.
The sun finally broke for us this morning and we reshot everything so that we could choose the shots we like. All in all... It was one of the most challenging shoots I've ever done. Everyone was fantastic to work with and no meltdowns occurred. That was the real miracle!
We're off to Big Sur in the morning to do an editorial shoot. It's going to be stunning. Bella Thorne, Julia and Charlotte are going to be the models. The stylist team has spent the last few weeks making all the clothes. The theme is about recycling your grandmothers old linens. I'm so excited!
I'm so happy that Talita is back in LA if only for a short time. We snapped some fun shots of her yesterday with her new haircut. She's an incredible looking girl.
APA Winners Gallery. Yuki and I decided to stop by the gallery to see the images blown up. I was unable to attend the opening night, but it was nice to see them this morning. Many great photographers work displayed. I felt honored to be among them.
We flew into NY last night and shot all day today. It was a blast. We shot Kimora Lee Simmons and her girls for an upcoming editorial. All three of the gorgeous girls were a blast to work with. I shot them before for the Baby Phat campaign, but something about this shoot was different. We knew each other a bit better.
Both Ming and Aoki tried their hand at shooting and did a great job. Ming captured some beautiful stuff of Aoki and her mom. The girl has an eye! I wouldn't doubt if one day she ends up being a photographer.
The magazine will hit the stands soon and once it does I'll have some of the behind the scenes stuff for everyone to see. I'll also post some of great work of the girls behind the camera.
