My heart is healing and I feel a softer side of myself appearing. I sat next to my fathers bedside for the past 4 days. His body is failing him, but his mind is totally there. We laughed so much that my stomach started to hurt. Rock did tricks in his wheelchair as my pops looked on with a .. you are going to bust your ass kind of grin.
on work:
My crew and I are headed to Italy on Thursday to shoot the Gucci campaign. We are all super excited!!!
What an adventure! We are heading back to LA tonight and I can't wait to get home and see my daughter and Mr. Luke man. It's been an amazing trip and I have once again realized just how blessed I am in this life. The gratitude I am feeling is overwhelming! I have also come to realize that along this journey of being "busy" that I haven't been nurturing friendships that I made when I first started this path. It's time to reconnect!
Last Friday I shot the Fall 2010 Baby Phat Girlz & Phat Farm campaigns. It's always nice to see the Baby Phat gang as well as Kimora and girls.
Luke will finally get is day in the spotlight. He joined in on the fun for the Lands end Spring/Summer shoot.
I'm feeling a bit zany these days. Not sure if it has anything to do with the full moon recently. I just received a copy of the H&M campaign and can't wait for it launch. I think everything hits mid March so keep an eye out for it. The Baby Phat Girlz stuff is out and I got a glimpse of the show Life in the Fab Lane... Looks like the shoot is definitely going to be on air. Yikes!
Just now coming up for air before diving in again next week. I just have to put out to the universe how grateful I am for my rich full life. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love for work.
I just recently wrapped the shoot for H&M. Be sure to check it out as I shot a spot for them as well. I've definitely been bitten by the film bug.
Can't wait until it hits.
Shooting the H&M Spring/Summer 2010 campaign. Tons of great kids and the stuff is coming out AMAZING!
So I'm sitting in what has quickly become my favorite place for breakfast and I see these kids. The little girl was hilarious. She was making her brother pose for her. How smart is she to already know what she wants to do with her life. She directed him very well and even got a little pissed when he didn't perform as directed.
Rule of thumb... always carry your camera wherever you go. I use the Canon G10 when I don't want to carry around my huge beast.
I've been slacking on the blog front... Been a little slammed with the move. I'm shooting Josie Bissett again tomorrow. She landed a role in the new Melrose Place, so we're doing some promo shots of her. I adore working with her! More later.
It's been one of the craziest days that I've ever had. I'm jumping on a plane in the morning to get to NY for a meeting and then heading to Columbus directly afterwards for another one and then straight back to LA. All within in a 72 hour time period. I'm on hold for 3 gigs that shoot in the next 14 days that are on both coasts, so the plane and I are going to be well connected once it's all said and done.
I'm definitely blessed and extremely grateful that I adore what I do. My mother and father insisted that you should always do what you love and the money would follow. I can't agree more.
